- What if I can’t remember all 272 pages of material to pass the 42-question quiz at the end?
- All participants are given a PDF of the final quiz at the time of purchasing the CEU program. The questions are labeled by chapter. You can mark your answers as you read and take your time reading the book without fear of forgetting.
- How long after I finish the quiz and evaluation will my certificate be issued by NSGC?
- Within 2 weeks + 2 days, if you email brittany@theceushop.org to request expedited CEU certificate processing (no extra charge) and let me know date needed by.
- The details – The CEU Shop is able to submit to NSGC within 1-2 days of completing your course (if expedited processing is requested via email; no additional cost). Per NSGC’s policy it may then take up to 2 weeks to process. Of note, NSGC no longer sends emailed certificates for any CEU activities, nor does NSGC send individual alerts to recipients when new certificates are issued in the portal. You need to login to your NSGC portal to view certificates (see next question).
- If expedited processing is not requested, all courses finished each month will be submitted to NSGC the first week of the next month. Official CEU certificates will be issued within two weeks of that submission. The last day to finish a course (pass the quiz & complete the eval) is December 8, 2024 if you want your CEU certificate issued by NSGC in 2024.

- How do I know when my certificate is issued?
- NSGC’s instructions on how to view certificates are linked here. NSGC no longer sends emailed certificates for any CEU activities, nor does NSGC send individual alerts to recipients when new certificates are issued in the portal. You need to login to your NSGC portal to view certificates.
- Why are the quizzes and evaluations so long?
- The length of both the quiz and evaluation are determined by NSGC’s Guidelines for Continuing Education. Quizzes need to be at least 5 questions per contact hour, and evaluations must ask about all learning objectives (at least 2 per hour + 3 total) as well as other requirements.
- Does the time it takes to complete the quiz & evaluation get included in the contact hours I earn?
- No. Per NSGC guidelines, the time it takes to complete the quiz and evaluation are not included as contact hours. The length of the audiobook is used to determine the number of contact hours/ CEUs issued.
- Is the date that the CEU is earned the date that the activity is completed, or the date that NSGC issues the certificate?
- The date that the participant finishes the course (passes the quiz and completes the evaluation) is the “date of completion” that will be issued on the CEU certificate from NSGC. So the CEU is earned on the date the activity is completed, not the date the certificate is issued from NSGC.
